Chief Executive CY Leung met Vice Minister of the National Health & Family Planning Commission Sun Zhigang at the Chief Executive's Office today.
 
Mr Leung welcomed Mr Sun, who is in town to attend the Hospital Authority Convention 2013.
 
Mr Leung said he is pleased Hong Kong and Mainland health agencies have maintained close liaison on the avian influenza A(H7N9) situation, and exchanged experience on prevention and control measures.
 
He said he hopes the two sides can continue strengthening communication to refine the public health system and safeguard public health.
 
Secretary for Food & Health Dr Ko Wing-man and Hospital Authority Chairman Anthony Wu also attended the meeting.
