ExCo rules under revision

Provisions in the system of declaration of interest for the Executive Council will be made clearer to avoid misunderstandings, Secretary for Constitutional & Mainland Affairs Raymond Tam told legislators today.
 
However, as the technical issues involved are complicated, more time is needed to conduct analysis and draft the provisions, he said, adding he plans to have it finished by the end of the current-term Government.
 
The requirements are considered necessary to make the provisions clearer after a councillor failed to declare property interests in 2010.
