Home Affairs chief visits Hangzhou

On a visit to Hangzhou today, Secretary for Home Affairs Tsang Tak-sing said closer collaboration and exchange between Zhejiang and Hong Kong would enhance mutual understanding and harmony between Hong Kong people and the Mainland.
Mr Tsang paid a two-day visit to Hangzhou and met with Zhejiang Governor Xia Baolong, Zhejiang Chinese Overseas Friendship Association President Tang Lilu, and Cultural Department of Zhejiang Province Director-General Yang Jianxin.
At the meetings, Mr Tsang said the 12th Five-year Plan stipulated cultural exchange and co-operation among the Mainland, Hong Kong and Macau should be strengthened. The Government is determined to foster arts and cultural development.
Mr Tsang also attended "The Power of Culture - Cultural Economy & Economic Civilisation" forum and visited the Xiling Society of Seal Arts which has a renowned history in seal carving studies and seal-engraving.
