Deputy Director of Electrical & Mechanical Services Frank Chan will succeed retiring Stephen Chan as Director of Electrical & Mechanical Services from December 17, while Daniel Lai will be Government Chief Information Officer from January 3.Frank Chan, 53, joined the Government as an Assistant Electronics Engineer in 1982. He has been Deputy Director of Electrical & Mechanical Services since January 2009.
Mr Lai, 64, has worked as the Head of Information Technology in the MTR Corporation since 1999 and has been responsible for setting strategic directions in IT, developing and implementing IT governance, programme planning and project management, and managing outsourcing arrangements.
